Hi guys Just finished this over the weekend. 15x24x12 (each gecko compartment times four) on top 30x24x18 on the bottom spare for future projects. And the renovated spotted python and shingleback stack View of the shingleback enclosure at the bottom. The top is not decorated yet for the spotted python as she's still too small and lives in the "click-clack enclosure" inside the top stack. Cheers

Your gecko complex is very cool. How did you run the wiring for that?

The bottom one runs on a wall mounted thermostat with a 2 foot fluoro mount hidden by the front panel, there are also two ceramic mounts in the botton one of which is connected to the thermostat for a CHE the other for a basking light. The gecko enclosures run on heat mats buried in the substrate and controlled by twin probe habistat matstats. All wiring is hidden at the back and very minimal wiring is visible within the enclosures themselves. Basically the wiring for the thermostat probe for the geckos come through the top back wall corner via a small hole in the enclosures minimising them from view. The heatmat cords are run through a small hole near the base of each enclosure. The holes are hidden by a background and plugged with "blue tack".

At the moment i only have 2 cubes occupied with one male each in them. Each cube has the capacity to hold a trio of knob-tails quite comfortably. I plan on having at least 4 females over time with my two males as the breeding colony. Luckily even the males can co-habitate without no real dramas with this species, though i would avoid that if i can (depending on how big the colony gets over time).

Do you think I could house 3-6 female gecks in each of those cubes ? That would certainly make life easier, and husbandry better if I could do that... Making those would be easy... for one who has constructed from the ground up... 4 huge vivs...lol... Janie

What's the dimensions of a 55?? I calculated the dimensions of each cube into gallons and they work out to 18.7 gallons per cube. You may get away with 4 individuals in that size tank but i have no experience with leos so you'd have to double check with a breeder maybe? The bottom tank which is 30x24x18 works out to be 56 Gallons.
